Dear Christians,
Prayer is not a religious act you carry out in order to feel good or fulfill set obligations. It is meant to be a system of communication, and also a conduit of the things of God into your life.
The efficacy of prayers is measured in the obtained results or answers.
When you pray, don’t come to God with a preset religious pattern of how it should be done. Rather, come with a mindset to hear Him and move according as the Spirit of God leads you.
Let your prayers be determined by His leading and not by your situation. There are times where all He wants you to do is to give Him thanks, but because you’re so consumed by the idea of blasting tongues against the devil, you miss His leading and, therefore, His voice.
If prayer is meant to help you communicate with the Lord thy God, why do you spend so much time fighting the devil!? This is why we rarely grow. We have put warfare before intimacy, and in the process, become warriors without weapons.
You may blast dangerous tongues and the little demon oppressing you remains asleep, but I may come just to hear His voice and move the realms of darkness with it.
Tongues is good, pray in tongues. Warfare is good, by all means, war. Intimacy is the best, in this, do not be found wanting.
Grace to you.
